CQWS
- CQ World Scouts is a worldwide activity organized by the Brazilian Scouts
Association - UEB -
and recognized by the WOSM - World Organization of the Scout Movement, for radio
amateurs, scouts and guides.
REGULATION
DATE
AND TIME:
Art. 1... The CQWS - CQ World Scouts is an annual worldwide amateur radio
contest that happens in the 4th weekend of April, from 9.00h UTC on
the Saturday until 21.00h UTC on the Sunday. All participants are welcomed,
scouts or not.
1.1...
The OPENING and the CLOSING will happen in the scout frequencies 3,740, 7,090,
14,290, 21,360 and 28,390 MHz through the CQWS Organization Stations.
BANDS:

Bilateral
PHONE
contacts in 80, 40, 20, 15 e 10 m bands will be considered valid.
2.1...
Simultaneous operation of the same call in different bands is not allowed.
HOW
TO CALL:
Art.
3... Stations should call "CQWS” or “CQ World Scouts” or answer scout
stations calling to establish a contact.
LOGS:
Art. 4... Contacts must be logged as usual, considering:
4.1...
Fill and summarize a set of logs for each band (80, 40, 20, 15 e 10m).
4.2...
Contacts with the same ham call can be repeated only in different bands.
4.3...
Contacts in a band will be validated with minimum permanence of 10 minutes.

Scouts*: The initials of the National Scouts Association.
(i.e.:
Brazil – UEB, USA – BSA, Chile – AGSC, etc.)

Valid for Scout Members and for Official Scout Stations.
5.2…Guides**:
The initials of the National Guides Association. (i.e.: Brazil – FBB, Denmark
– DGSA, Italy – AGESCI,etc).
** Valid for Guide Members and for Official Guide Stations.
5.3…Leagues***:
The initials of the National Ham Association.
(i.e.:
Brazil – LABRE, Bulgaria – BFRA, South Africa – SARL, etc).

Valid only for official stations of National Amateur Radio Associations.
5.4…All the
others should transmit “HAM” after the RS report.

stations will transmit special letters, like the following table:

EACH BAND – The score is the result of the total of contacts multiplied by the
sum of multipliers above.

ALL BANDS – The score is the sum of the results in all bands.
AWARDS
AND PRIZES:
Art. 9... The World Organization of CQWS Contest offers awards and prizes.
9.1... CQWS
Award: For all participating stations that send their logs until the deadline.
9.2...
Plates to the three first ones in the
general classification and in each band.
9.3...
The prizes
are not cumulative, being considered only the best classification.
DEADLINE:
Art.10..All
logs must be sent to the CQWS Organization until May 15th,
by post, email or through the site.
10.1... Logs will be verified and classified by the CQWS organization.
10.2...
All results will be published on June 15th
.
10.3...
Awards, trophies or plaques***** will be sent up to June 30th.
In
time:
Any
other case or situation that is not in this regulation,
will
be analyzed by the CQWS Organization and its decision will be definitive.
